Robert Hunter visits The Poppy Factory

23 November 2017

Robert Hunter spent yesterday afternoon with The Poppy Factory.

The Poppy Factory is the country’s leading employment charity for veterans with long term health conditions and/or disabilities. Founded in 1922, they work with businesses across the country to provide bespoke opportunities and ongoing employment support for hundreds of veterans of all ages and from all Services, helping to restore their financial independence through sustainable and rewarding work.

Robert was really impressed with the work that The Poppy Factory is doing. He discussed the work that we do at City Disabilities, and gave a presentation on the etiquette of working with colleagues who have disabilities. We are very excited about our possible opportunities to work with The Poppy Factory to support veterans with disabilities and long term mental or other health issues.

If you would like to know more about The Poppy Factory, you can read about them here. We look forward to working with them in the future.
